According to UXPin, Mobile-first design strategy is designing for the smallest screen first and working your way up to bigger screens. Google announced its indexing strategy The various ways in which people have been accessing the internet have changed drastically over the years. Statistics suggest that around 68 million around the world come from mobile devices every hour.
In an update, Google announced majority of the sites are ready to go for mobile-first indexing. Google says, 70% of the sites shown in Google’s search results have already shifted over.

Mobile-first is a strategy which goes in favour of the staggering statistics which suggest that people prefer accessing sites through mobile browsers. According to this, they design a website for the smallest mobile device possible first.
The developers then scale upwards to adapt the website to relatively larger dimensions like a desktop.

Google mobile-first indexing means that its algorithms will look for the mobile version of the website for indexing and ranking. This will help their primary user group – mobile users.
