Google is a contradiction, they try to emphasise that buying links is frowned upon and will ultimatly be removed from ranking algo.

But as mike @ toronto says 'stick with buying links if you want serious results'. It is the best way to make some sort of impression.

Link baiting works fine, IF your niche is worth linking to and people can be bothered to create a link to somewhere that they will probabbly never again visit.

Definitely to linkbait! by far it is one of the most important techniques that really delivers results....
Google sets too many obstacles that make life of starting e-businessman harder. My personal point of view - stick with buying links if you want serious results.

Best regards from Toronto
